A few ingredients worth mentioning!
- Lecithin. This is a natural emulsifying agent that penetrates the skin quickly, while improving homeostasis. Skin functions in homeostasis include protection, regulation of body temperature, sensory reception, water balance, synthesis of vitamins and hormones, and absorption of materials.
- Jojoba esters are the hydrogenation product of jojoba oil. It closely resembles our skin’s natural sebum, so applying them means they are easily absorbed and won’t cause allergic reactions. Because of the incredible similarity to our own skin’s natural oils, jojoba esters act as a barrier for our skin, locking in moisture and protecting it from harmful bacteria. There are B vitamins, vitamin E and minerals including copper, chromium, silicon and zinc, each provide major benefits for all skin types ranging from dry, aging to sensitive.
- Willowbark extract has astringent, anti-inflammatory, soothing and conditioning properties. It can stimulate new cell formation, reducing age marks and wrinkles. Anti-oxidants work to increase blood flow to the skin. Willowbark extract also naturally contains salicylic acid, which helps to clear pores, shed dead skin cells.
